Almost 6 weeks old!

So..its much harder to post now that Carter is here...so I am just posting some random photo's I have taken over the past few weeks. He is growing so fast! We found out a little over a week ago that he has GERD. (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) The doctor said that he should grow out of it, but we noticed he was crying while he drank his bottle and arching his back. He cried non-stop for a couple weeks too. It was pretty frustrating. He is now on Prevacid and we also have to put rice cereal in his bottles so he can keep them down without throwing up. I have seen significant improvement since we started the medicine. He still doesn't sleep but 3 hours a night, and he still has his crying episodes, but its nothing compared to before. He is starting to "coo" more, and he always has such a serious look on his face :) He rarely smiles...I am anxiously awaiting his personality to come out more!So hungry he could eat his fingers! Big Yawn

Getting so big!

Mommy time!

Thanks Grammy for the new play set!

Daddy loves you!
Baldy!

As for me...I am trying my hardest to keep up with housework, laundry, the boys, and my weight watchers/working out. I have 9 pounds left to my pre-baby weight..and its harder than I remember to not eat all those yummy foods! As for Josh, he just started a new position at Midwest as an Internet Manager and also starts Wrestling season again in October. We are staying busy!

Potty Trained!!

He's all grown up!
Showing off his big boy underwear!!

A little less than a month before he turns 3....COLIN IS POTTY TRAINED!! YEAH!!!!!! I am so excited. People always said to just wait until he was ready..and sure enough...as soon as he was ready..he had it down. (minus naptimes and bedtimes...we still gotta work on that)

Josh had the great idea of telling Colin that every time he went potty in the toilet that he would bring him a balloon from work. Well, after 3 days of this..Colin had potty training mastered and we had about 20 balloons filling up our living room! ;) Once he got over his fear of pooping in the potty..he has done great!

I can't believe how grown up my baby is! It seems like just yesterday that he was little like baby Carter. Now my baby is running around in Spiderman underwear talking about going to school. He is so smart for his age. He picks up on everything. (Even some bad...thanks mom..for the new addition to his vocabulary..."Damnit Barney is over!!" )

Colin..you will always be my little boy..mommy is so proud of the little man you've become! And you are a great big brother! I love you!

Kansas State Fair 2010

The fair was in town Sept 10 to Sept 19. Josh had 3 free tickets so we decided to go on his day off. My dad came along too..but he looked at the campers while we enjoyed watching the monkeys, visiting the zoo, and watching Colin ride a couple rides. The year before, Colin LOVED the rides...this year he was terrified of all of them! Even the ones he rode last year! Needless to say, he only went on 3 or 4 and he was done. Which is fine...since they are 5 dollars for a ride!
The weather was perfect. The sun was not out and it was a mild 70 or so. I secretly only wanted to go to the fair this year for the food. :) I enjoyed a stuffed cucumber with tuna salad inside, while Josh was brave and tried a Krispy Creme Donut Hamburger....YUCK! He said it wasn't that great. Looked gross to me!
Carter was an angel and slept all 3 hours we were there. We had a fun day but I'm glad the fair is over for another year...I hate living this close with the traffic and carnies!
Colin putting his shoes on to go pet animalsCarter slept through the whole trip! Colin screamed bloody murder the whole way down this with Josh!
Waiting for the rides to open
Ride time!
He may look like he enjoyed this ride..but once the motorcycle started going up and down..he wanted off!
Choo Choo!

The many faces of Carter

Carter is 3 weeks old tomorrow. He is able to lift his head when laying on his belly, turn his head side to side while laying on his back, and he is starting to coo :O) He is still not sleeping great at night (neither is his brother) and Josh and I average about 3 to 5 hours of sleep a night. As soon as one kid falls asleep, the other wakes up...figures!!! I posted some pics of funny faces that Carter is starting to make....

And big brother is still as ornery as ever!

As for me...I have 11 to 12 pds left to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight and spend the majority of my days pumping milk, changing poopy butts, feeding kiddos, and taming my 2 (almost 3) year old :)

8 months

( 34 weeks/ 28 pds later..my body is punishing me!!)I am MISERABLE!!! I haven't even got pics posted from this last month..I am just too exhausted. I was in the hospital last week for borderline high blood pressure, headache, and dizziness. After some morphine, IV, and tests...I got to go home. It took about 5 hours but it still reminded me how much I hate hospitals and being hooked up to all that stuff!Dr. said that she will help the process if I start to dilate after I hit full term (37 weeks) by breaking my water, etc. due to my problems. However, if I haven't shown any progress by August 24Th (which would make me 39 weeks) then I will be induced that day. I am so happy that there is an end in sight!! 36 Days till August 24Th :) I doubt Carter will wait that long though. I have been having contractions already. Dr. has also been monitoring me closely as I have appts weekly.

Josh has been busy with work as usual..and Colin has a case of the "summer cold". I feel so bad for him. :( He is still playing though. He is actually with his Grammy and Cousin "roo" this afternoon swimming.

(Such a ham!)
(Josh and Colin at Chucky Cheese...Colin's first time..not sure which one had more fun!)

My mom is gone for 3 weeks and wont be back till August 6Th I believe. She is hoping I don't go in to labor before she returns from her Condo in Durango!!
(Grandma wore him out!)

The weather is miserable and hot here. There is little rain and the temperature is usually around 100 with horrible humidity. (Not that I'm outside in it...Dr. banned me from any more outdoor activities...)
As you can tell, I am just ready to meet Carter and start this new chapter in our lives!!!
